Understanding the changes in your family
You and your family are going through a difficult time. You would like some help in understanding what is not working so well, how and what change is possible. Families go through lots of changes, either due to lifecycle events such as birth, death, and other life stages or external events such as physical and mental illness, relocation and other stressors. These changes can be challenging and can cause great unhappiness and conflict, and can feel overwhelming and unmanageable.
In counselling you come to understand what is happening in your family, to clarify and realise what choices you have. You come to share with a neutral, supportive outsider something that you have not been able to talk about together or in your circle of friends. With total confidentiality and without being judged.
In counselling and psychotherapy we look at patterns in your relationships. You might be repeating old patterns based on memories from the past. You might feel stuck. Counselling is a supportive place to explore your choices in moving forward.
