Background
I am a returning Dane having lived in the UK for 42 years. I trained and qualified as a Relationship and Individual Therapist, Children’s Counsellor and Mediator in the UK where I have 20 years’ experience working with couples, families, individuals and children, within private and public organisations. My initial career was in biotechnology.
My training incorporates several different theories and methods, psychodynamic, attachment, family systemic therapy, emotion focussed therapy (EFT), cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), and more. I incorporate these into my approach, depending on what works for you and your situation.
As a returning Dane, I have experience of what it feels like to settle in a new country and also to return back to Denmark after a long time.
I have trained and worked in Family Mediation (separation and divorce) and Conflict Resolution.
My clients are from a wide range of cultural, ethnic and social backgrounds.
I am fluent in English and Danish, and have been a member of the UK regulatory authority BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy) during my training and practice in the UK. In Denmark I practice according to the ethical guidelines of the Danish Psychotherapy Association (Dansk Psykoterapeutforening).
